It receives light and turns it into voltage variations which make up the image. They cost more, though the clear and accurate night vision images are worth the extra dollars.
There is an optional retail packaging option that includes an AC Power Adapter, 50 ft. Plug & Play cable, and flock lined retail box with color label.
